Questions
Android, in short.
Is it on Google Play?
No. You install it from an APK file: download it on this page, open it and allow installs from unknown sources. New versions install from inside the app.
Guide Which Android versions does it run on?
Android 8.0 and newer.
Full or Lite: which one?
Full looks like the desktop app and suits powerful phones. Lite is simpler and lighter, made for weaker phones. The features are the same.
Will my likes and playlists match the computer?
Yes. Likes, playlists and STAR are shared: sign in by QR code and your library is already there.
Guide What do I scan the QR code with?
Only the SoundCloud Desktop app for Android. The phone camera and the SoundCloud app will not open it. A code lives 5 minutes, works once, and should never be shown to strangers.
Guide Is this the official SoundCloud app?
No. It is the Android app of the independent SoundCloud Desktop project and has no connection to SoundCloud.
