Questions
Rooms, in short.
How many people can listen together?
Up to 10 people in one room, the host included.
Do my friends need the app?
Yes. Everyone installs SoundCloud Desktop and signs in to their own SoundCloud account. The music streams to each of you from your own account, and the room keeps everyone on the same second.
How do I join a friend's room?
In the player, click "Listen together", type the 6-character session code and press "Join". The host finds the code in the same panel, under "Invite".
Where to find features Who picks the music?
The host, the person who opened the room. Everyone else hears what the host plays. To play something of your own, leave the session.
Is there a chat in the room?
No, there is no chat. A room only keeps the music in sync.
What is the difference between a public and a private room?
A private room is joined by code only. A public room is listed for everyone under "Open rooms", and anyone can join.
