Questions
Questions about STAR.
What is STAR?
An optional paid pass for SoundCloud Desktop. It pays for the project's servers and adds perks: HQ sound, full tracks instead of 30-second previews, faster STAR servers and priority sync.
What STAR gives Is the app free without STAR?
Yes. SoundWave, lyrics, the equalizer, listening together, offline mode, themes and Discord status are free for everyone, with no ads. It works in Russia for everyone too, with or without STAR.
Does STAR work on all my devices?
Yes. The pass is tied to your SoundCloud account, not to a computer. Sign in with the same account on another computer or in the Android app and STAR is there.
How do I buy STAR?
In the app: click STAR in the left menu, then "Choose a pass", pick a term and hit "Ignite your star". Pay with SBP, a card, crypto or Telegram Stars. You need to be signed in. Boosty works too.
How to buy What happens when it runs out?
The app goes back to the free mode and everything free stays. Only Telegram Stars payments renew on their own, monthly.
About renewal I paid, but STAR isn't on?
Wait a few seconds and open STAR in the left menu. Still nothing: sign out and sign in with the account you paid from.
